Read-aloud
About 90 natural, open voices, Hindi included. Bluetooth-aware, so it asks before using the speaker.
A private second brain that listens for you. What was said becomes notes, tasks, people and a journal, all worked out on your phone.
One email when the first version is out. That's all.
Kal Rahul ko deck bhejna hai, Friday ko pitch hai.
Good morning. The wifi password is on the fridge. Priya's birthday is on the 2nd. Did you eat? Call me back about Sunday lunch. Parking is on level B2. Haan, haan, I'm coming. Read The Psychology of Money, you'll like it. The meeting moved to 4. Deck by Thursday, pitch on Friday. Dahi le aana on the way home. Rahul is moving to Pune in December. Okay, bye.
Cloud recorders fix that by uploading everything you hear. EchoMind keeps what matters on the phone, and lets the rest go.
A small service runs in the background, cuts the silence, and pauses itself when the phone is warm or the battery is low. A coral dot means it's recording, and you can forget the last few minutes at any time.
On-device speech recognition in English, Hindi and Hinglish. Speakers are grouped and labelled, and your own voiceprint tells “you” from everyone else. Search finds रंगरेज़ when you type rangrez.
What you promised becomes a task with a sensible reminder: an hour before the call, the evening before an early start. Say you've done it and it asks, “Sounds done?”
Names, roles, how you met, and a running story for everyone you talk to. Next time, the details are already there.
A journal for every day, a productivity score with a reason, and your own rating. Voice check-ins ask a question at night and file your spoken answer.

Haan, slides 4 aur 7 abhi bhi rough hain.
हाँ, Thursday तक final कर देंगे।
I'll book the room for 11 on Friday.
Ask about anything you've said or heard. Answers cite the moments they came from, and the assistant can act: add a task, plan your day, change a setting.
Runs on Gemma on the phone by default, or on your own Claude, Gemini or OpenAI key if you choose. Keys are encrypted and never logged.

In the app, teal means “on this phone” and amber means “leaves the phone”. Nothing turns amber until you flip a switch. Try it.
Drag it. Past the limit, transcription and AI wait until the phone cools down.
The Governor decides when heavy work may run. Every limit is a slider with colour-coded danger zones, and an emergency thermal level always stops work.
Need results now? “Ignore limits for 15 minutes”, then it goes back to looking after the phone.
About 90 natural, open voices, Hindi included. Bluetooth-aware, so it asks before using the speaker.
When you sing, the clip is saved on its own. Lyrics never turn into notes or tasks.
Your device calendar, prep notes before events, and month, week and day plans built from your memory.
Scheduled questions, answered out loud, filed into the day's journal.
Listen, Mic, Tasks, Agenda, Notes, Day, Ask and Quick actions, each resizable and themeable.
Hindi, English and Hinglish are recognised, with Devanagari searchable in Latin letters.
Keep the audio of a conversation and choose how long. Expired clips are swept automatically.
A developer screen shows the engine, the queue, every Governor decision and the database.
EchoMind's first public version is close. Leave your email and you'll get one message when it's out.

Settings → Models. Download one; add a voice and the on-device language model if you like.
That's it. Tasks, notes and people appear as your day goes on.
No. Recognition, speaker grouping, sound tagging and the default AI (Gemma) all run on the phone. Cloud AI, web search and song naming are each off until you turn them on, and every request they make is written to a ledger you can read.
Android 12 or newer. A phone with 8 GB of RAM or more is recommended for the on-device language model; speech recognition alone runs on less.
The Governor pauses heavy work when the phone is warm, the battery is low or Battery Saver is on, and you set every limit yourself. Silence is cut before anything is transcribed.
Tell people when EchoMind is listening, and check the law where you live; some places require everyone's consent. You can pause it, or forget the last few minutes, at any time.
Yes. English, Hindi and the mix of the two. Hindi in Devanagari is transliterated for search, so you can type it in Latin letters.
Nothing. It's open source under the MIT licence, with no accounts, analytics or ads. If you use your own Claude, Gemini or OpenAI key, that provider bills you directly.
EchoMind's site is getting an update. Back in a few minutes.
